As of May 31st, Dane County combined home and condo inventory stood at 3,875 units, 619 units less than the combined inventory level from the same time last year, a decrease of 13.8%. The inventory level for Dane County homes was 2,794 units, 328 less than the level from May 31st of 2012, a decrease of 10.5%. Condo inventory stood at 1,081 units on May 31st, 291 less then the inventory level from last year, a decrease of 21.2%. From the graph below you'll see combined single family home and condo inventory was roughly 2,500 units in January of 2005. After a steady climb, inventory more than doubled and peaked in the summer of 2007 at roughly 6,100 units. (Note: We started tracking the single family home and condo inventory levels separately in May of 2007).
